Privacy notice
This notice explains how RemotePath ("we") handles personal data under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
[Legal entity name, registered address and ICO registration number — to be completed.] Contact: hello@example.com.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, and optional profile preferences you enter (roles, locations, salary range, employment types).
- Activity you create: saved jobs, tracked applications and notes, job alerts, listing reports.
- Newsletter: email address, the time you consented and the version of the consent wording shown.
- Usage events: basic first-party events (e.g. searches, job views, saves) linked to your account if signed in. No third-party advertising trackers.
Skills overlap matching runs entirely in your browser. AI application fit sends your CV text and job description to Lovable AI only when you consent and request analysis. These texts and the result are not saved to your account or analytics. Remove contact details and sensitive information before submitting. AI processing involves external processors; their retention terms, lawful basis and transfer safeguards remain subject to legal review before public launch.
Lawful bases
- Providing your account and features — contract.
- Newsletter and marketing emails — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security, fraud prevention and service analytics — legitimate interests.
Sharing
We use processors to host the service and database. We don't sell personal data. When you click "Apply", you leave our site and the employer's or source's privacy policy applies.
Retention
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Newsletter records are kept while subscribed and for a limited period after unsubscribing as proof of consent. [Retention periods to be confirmed.]
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data. Export and deletion are available in your dashboard under "Account & data". You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
International transfers
[To be completed once hosting regions and processors are confirmed, including transfer safeguards.]
